My New Reality

I have been in thought about so many things recently. Since our church just finished up a series called "You Asked for It" - it has brought so much to my mind.

I think the biggest things are these:

1. Are you sure of where you would go if you died. One of the Questions asked was "What happens 30 seconds after you die?" So what do you really believe, deep in your heart without anybody around - just you - what do you think? I think if we all just took a couple seconds to really ponder that with an open heart you would sense that there is a heaven and hell - (pride, past experiences, current friends, and the such might get in the way of the truth....) but if you really sat and thought openly - I wonder what you would answer....

2. How can you really be sure about where you stand with God...? LOVE the answer here - if you know Jesus - you know...point blank. I think all my life I was always wondering if I was OK with God - have I messed up too much - will I ever really know for sure...that was until I asked JEsus to come live in my heart - I am assured now - no questions - just assured...people can debate - but it says "my sheep know my voice...." The days are short to not confront this one....

3. I love the way Jesus is patient with people. He knows each and every one of the "souls he created" (Is. 57:16) - He knows how you will be prevoked or stirred up or how you can hear Him clearly - He will truly take 99 steps towards you - but it is that one step you have to take that will be the watershed of your life...it take guts and faith - but I promise you it will be the #1 best step you ever take in your life....sometimes I just want to say - "why wouldn't you take that step?"

For me,

I know I am going to heaven, I know I hear from Jesus everyday, I WAY know how patiente He is - because he wanted a long time for me to finally take that step....or at least look into taking that step...

Jesus has taught me so much in the past months walking with Him. Just a few are...

1. My idenity if fully in Jesus - NOT in how good I am, or how NOT good I am, whether I mess up or whether I do good things - It is not in my kids or husband or job or money - my idenity is fully settled upon the ROCK of my salvation and Jesus...I know what a tree planted by the river really is now - bearing fruit and being pruned to be made into His likeness...

2. There is GRACE to cover ANY sin - there is not ONE single sin or load of sins that Jesus won't forgive quickly...not one...Living in that reality means for me that I no longer feel condemnation or guilt when I sin - Jesus talks to me and helps me not to sin and when I DO mess up he quicly forgives after i repent - FREEDOM is the word for this one...

3. I LOVE spending time in the WORD....it is truly alive and everytime I open it new words FLOW out of it. I hear things about me, friends, the world - I am so thankful for the Bible -

There is much more - but these are a bit of my ramblings....I hope they encourage or ignite in you something -
