Aw- Nicole, this is so sweet. I've been thinking about you a lot lately. Chris has been gone on and off a lot over the past few months. (I tried to calculate 2009 and figured he was gone a total of 3 1/2-4 months--but in small chunks) He begins his active duty "stuff" for predeployment in July... I'm not sure how to prepare myself for this. (or the kiddos) How is Elijah handling the separation? My kids go crazy when Chris is gone for drill, I can't imagine explaining how long 18 months is!!
Plus-- I find myself sinking into depression type states when he is gone. I know I need to be preparing my heart for another hard battle--but I'm not sure how. (not with the kids and extra responsibilities that come along this time)
Any words of advice? And on that note.. is there anything I could do to help you--or ease any of your pain?

You two are such a beautiful couple. Loving the Lord, your children, your life, this world. I am so proud of you both for continuing to carry the candle of Christ and letting it shine so brightly. :)
